The Examination for Certificate in Professional Performance will be graded by two examiners.

Requirements

Documents for verification

Applicants are required to:

• Attach a copy of the Grade 8 Examination qualification certified by any exam board, OR
• Submit a video recording of one performance piece.

The above has to be submitted together with the registration form to The TENG Academy before the closing date for registration.

Minimum grade

The minimum requirement for the Examination for Certificate in Professional Performance is a Pass in Grade 8 Examination. You may wish to appeal by sending in a video recording of your performance(s). Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Prospects

Certificate holders may apply for teaching positions relating to instrumental performances, or to pursue higher learning in music conservatories or institutions locally or abroad.

Repertoires & scores

The Examination for Certificate in Professional Performance repertoire consists of 3 music pieces.

Examination scores will not be provided. Students are to use their own book and exam scores with the reference to the version and composer stated, or song pieces of the equivalent level by overseas examination boards.

The Examination scores for Percussion is available for purchase from our retailers.

It is not required to include piano accompaniment for the Examination for Certificate in Professional Performance.
